Three Properties of Refractory Materials
During refractory materiasl use process, by high temperature physical, chemical, machinery and so on, easy to melt to soften, or corrosion, abrasion, or produce the phenomenon such as cracks, damage, make the operation interruption, and pollutants. Therefore, the following three properties must be possessed.
High Refractoriness, in order to meet the requirements of high temperature operation, refractory materials should have the properties of not softening or melting at a high enough temperature.
Good Load Softening Temperature. The refractories can withstand the load of the kiln and the stress in the operation process, and do not lose the structural strength at high temperature without softening deformation and collapse.
The Volume Stability at High Temperature. When the refractory material is used in high temperature conditions, the volume will change due to the physical and chemical reaction inside the material. Request volume stability at high temperature of refractory material and does not produce because of excessive expansion or contraction the kiln stove masonry cracks due to the expansion of the products, or due to the large shrinkage cracks, reduce the service life of the masonry.
