What is Special Shape Refractory Brick
Special shape refractory brick is made of quartz stone material, the content of SiO2 is above 96%, it has good resistance to acid slag and good heat conductivity. And the refractoriness is 1690~1710°C, RUL is beyond 1680°C. SiO2 has different types of crystals in different temperatures, and the transform between the crystals will cause the change of the bulk. During the heating, there will be changes of the bulk ,and cristobalite changes most, then quartz, phosphorus quartz is the slowest of all and it also has good heatconductivity. Coke oven should use the silica brick with small true density. And the phosphorus quartz is better than others.
Process of Special Shape Refractory Brick
Generally, Special shape refractory brick was molded by dry pressing，By means of mixing the material uniformity in proportion and ageing mixture some time. Then, pour some powders into the mold and dry pressing. After dry pressing, the adobe needs to be pushed in the drying kiln to stove or stay in the air to dry. This progress will need about 3-5 days. After this progress, then push the adobe into the tunnel furnace or shuttle kiln to burn around 1300C. This progress will be need about 5-7 days. After burning, the finished high alumina brick will be packed on pallet.
