Mullite Fire Brick

Mullite fire brick is made of mullite as the main raw material and molded through high temperature firing and pressure. Mullite fire bricks have advantage performance on furnace and kiln application such as high temperature resistance, chemical and mechanical corrosion, good thermal shock resistance and so on. Mullite refractory brick mainly used for top of hot blast stove, stack and bottom of blast furnace, regenerative chamber of glass melter, ceramic post sintering kiln, furnace lining for dead angle of petroleum cracking.

Mullite Fire Brick Description

Mullite fire brick is a kind of high alumina refractory with mullite as the principal crystalline phase and contains 65~75% alumina content. with lower alumina content also contain a small amount of glass phase and cristobalite, and some that with higher alumina content also contain a small amount of corundum, mullite insulation brick has good thermal shock resistance.

Mullite Fire Brick Process

Mullite fire brick with high bauxite, commercial alumina and refractory clay as raw material, adding charcoal or coke fines as a reducing agent, after molding, can adopt the reduction electrofusion method to manufacture. Mullite refractory brick is manufactured with mullite as the main crystal phase and contains about 65~75% alumina content. Mullite refractory apparent initial softening temperature is about 1600~1700 ℃. mullite brick cold crushing strength is about 70~260MPa. Mullite insulation brick has high refractoriness that reaches up to 1790 ℃.

According to different service temperature, mullite fire birck can be classified into different types of 1350 mullite fire birck, 1450 mullite fire birck and 1550 mullite fire birck.
